Asus Qube, the company’s foray into the world of Google TV, was announced in January and then delayed, and is finally available for pre-order.
While it was already a known fact that those who want an Asus Qube would be able to get their hands on the device on April 23, at a price of $130, things have changed (but not too much, really).
Newegg has it available for pre-order, with the first change being the name. The device is no longer called Asus Qube, but rather Asus Cube, and this is most certainly not a mistake on the retailer’s part, as a picture of the box and its contents has been posted, too (you can see it below).
The second difference is the price, which is increased a bit: the $130 has turned into $139.99, but if you pre-order before April 23, you also get a $10 gift card, which makes up for the difference. That brings us to the third change. Should you pre-order the Asus Cube, you’ll get it on April 24, instead of April 23, the previously announced release date (it’s just a day, so it shouldn’t make too much of a difference).
Enough to stoke the flames of interest? We’ll leave that up to you, dear reader. Let us know what you think!
