FlipLauncher: Multitasking launcher for quick app access

by: Alvin YbañezNovember 30, 2012

Android devices are meant for multitasking. Some devices, like the Galaxy Note 2, are specifically designed to launch two apps, or more, at the same time. The Google Play Store also offers a variety of multitasking apps to allow you to multitask on your device.  We’ve compiled some of our favorite ones in our list of best task switchers and multitasking apps for Android.

I want to add a new multitasking app that I found on Google’s toy shelves to that list. The FlipLauncher app is a multitasking app that allows you to group your favorite apps or shortcuts and access them from wherever on your device.

When you launch FlipLauncher in portrait [...]

Social Network OverView Lite: Your social feeds in one place

by: Carl ParkerNovember 29, 2012

Social networking sites have become essential parts of some people’s lives. Keeping connected to friends and family using the Internet is now one of the activities one cannot afford to skip out on, most especially when the Internet is accessible anywhere and everywhere.

Settling for just one social networking site today is not that common anymore; the more social networking sites you maintain, the more chances of not missing out on anything your friends or the whole community is currently into. With that said, news feeds are definitely important. Want an easier way to access not only your Facebook news feed but your Google+’s and Twitter’s, as well? [...]

Draw a Stickman: Adventure, RPG, and puzzle game in one

by: Carl ParkerNovember 29, 2012

Drawing was one of my frustrations when I was a kid. I would always gape in awe every time I watched my older brother draw shapes, lines, and curves with so little effort to come up with a sketch. Lacking the talent to draw, I was limited to drawing anime and basic figures. People who share the same sentiment have settled for drawing the most elementary manifestation of the human form — the stick figure.

This time around, you can watch your drawings come to life in Hitcents’ innovative game, Draw a Stickman: EPIC. The game is an adventure game, RPG, and puzzle game in one with a cool new game mechanism mixed in.

Draw a Stickman: EPIC follows [...]

Facebook Image Grabber: Saving FB photos to your phone easily

by: Carl ParkerNovember 29, 2012

Pictures, pictures, pictures; everyone just loves pictures. We collect pictures of people, events, or random silly things and store them in our albums, cameras, computers, phones, and of course, our favorite social media sites. It’s little wonder why social media sites are trending like wildfire across the Internet. And, with Mark Zuckerberg as my witness, Facebook is one of the leading social media sites where you can find a gazillion pictures.

It becomes frustrating when you’re browsing Facebook and you find a really nice picture but you can’t save it. You’ll have to wait until you get home and scour your News Feed before you find the picture [...]

There are tons of applications on the Google Play Store that you can enjoy on your Android smartphone or tablet. With all that free stuff waiting for you, all you have to worry about is running out of storage space on your device. If you sift through the apps available on the Play Store long enough, you’ll eventually find all sorts of gems, such as apps for productivity, personalization, socializing, and even games. Glimmr: Feature-rich and beautiful Flickr client for Android

by: Carl ParkerNovember 20, 2012

Photography today has been one of the most enjoyed hobbies. Whether you are using a DSLR camera to take visually-enticing photos or you prefer using your phone’s camera to take snapshots of every day moments, photos are all the same — they all tell a story. We take photos because we want to preserve a certain memory or a particular moment that surely won’t happen again in the future. And, because more and more people enjoy taking snapshots of their loved ones, or anything for that matter, a lot of Android apps dedicated to both photography and photo organization are swarming the Google Play Store.

One photo client that surely some, if not most of you [...]

SnapPea: Using your phone even without your touching it

by: Dan EvansNovember 20, 2012

Anyone can tell you that smartphones are great. But, smartphones have their limits; some of the most common ones include distance and syncing data with your computer. You’ll need to be very dedicated with the USB cable or cloud services to keep your phone updated with the media on your computer. Even when you have your phone plugged into your computer, having to lean over, pick up the phone, and reply to a friend’s text message can disrupt your concentration.

Developers at Wandou Labs understand your pain; that’s why they’ve created an app that will eliminate the need to tear your attention away from your screen. With SnapPea, you can have [...]

Prince of Balls HD Free: Quest to save the spherical princess

by: Dan EvansNovember 19, 2012

Once upon a time, a rather circular prince and his beautiful princess were enjoying a pleasant picnic of an assortment of fruits. Unfortunately, tragedy struck, and true to the classic damsel-in-distress archetype, the rotund princess was kidnapped by an equally spherical demon creature. It is up to our heroic orb-like prince to tackle the vast landscape and save his princess! We’ve heard that story before but Prince of Balls HD presents this classic tale in a slightly different way.

We’ll give you a moment to stop sniggering.

Of course, you won’t see any six-packs on our prince and the princess doesn’t exactly have the curves [...]
