Angry Heroes Online: High fantasy with a twist

by: Dan EvansNovember 30, 2012

There’s nothing funnier than a game that pokes fun at its own genre. While high-fantasy settings can be breathtaking and interesting, sometimes it takes itself too seriously. You’re a noble knight on a quest to restore your lost honor and you need to battle others and travel the land. How often has this been done before? It’s easy to eye high-fantasy in any form skeptically.

Artibus’ Angry Heroes (Free), however, is here to renew your love for the genre. This game is a delightful MMORPG that makes fun of the high fantasy setting and gives it a new twist.

The basic story is that you, a warrior, was mugged of all your belongings [...]

WhenDidI Lite: Flexible event logger for Android

by: Alvin YbañezNovember 30, 2012

The sad truth about the kind of work I do is that I sit in front of a computer for hours.  I can see how my belly grows day after day. I need something that would help me monitor my food intake. Luckily, I found one app from the Google Play Store that does the monitoring and recording for me.

The WhenDidI Lite – Event Logger is my personal assistant and helps me stay on track with my diet plan. Aside from my diet plan, I can also use this app to monitor how much I have spent for the day, how far I have jogged, how many times I have cleaned my room, and all the other activities I do every day.

I also like the app’s simple and easy to use user [...]

FlipLauncher: Multitasking launcher for quick app access

by: Alvin YbañezNovember 30, 2012

Android devices are meant for multitasking. Some devices, like the Galaxy Note 2, are specifically designed to launch two apps, or more, at the same time. The Google Play Store also offers a variety of multitasking apps to allow you to multitask on your device.  We’ve compiled some of our favorite ones in our list of best task switchers and multitasking apps for Android.

I want to add a new multitasking app that I found on Google’s toy shelves to that list. The FlipLauncher app is a multitasking app that allows you to group your favorite apps or shortcuts and access them from wherever on your device.

When you launch FlipLauncher in portrait [...]

Social Network OverView Lite: Your social feeds in one place

by: Carl ParkerNovember 29, 2012

Social networking sites have become essential parts of some people’s lives. Keeping connected to friends and family using the Internet is now one of the activities one cannot afford to skip out on, most especially when the Internet is accessible anywhere and everywhere.

Settling for just one social networking site today is not that common anymore; the more social networking sites you maintain, the more chances of not missing out on anything your friends or the whole community is currently into. With that said, news feeds are definitely important. Want an easier way to access not only your Facebook news feed but your Google+’s and Twitter’s, as well? [...]

Draw a Stickman: Adventure, RPG, and puzzle game in one

by: Carl ParkerNovember 29, 2012

Drawing was one of my frustrations when I was a kid. I would always gape in awe every time I watched my older brother draw shapes, lines, and curves with so little effort to come up with a sketch. Lacking the talent to draw, I was limited to drawing anime and basic figures. People who share the same sentiment have settled for drawing the most elementary manifestation of the human form — the stick figure.

This time around, you can watch your drawings come to life in Hitcents’ innovative game, Draw a Stickman: EPIC. The game is an adventure game, RPG, and puzzle game in one with a cool new game mechanism mixed in.

Draw a Stickman: EPIC follows [...]

Facebook Image Grabber: Saving FB photos to your phone easily

by: Carl ParkerNovember 29, 2012

Pictures, pictures, pictures; everyone just loves pictures. We collect pictures of people, events, or random silly things and store them in our albums, cameras, computers, phones, and of course, our favorite social media sites. It’s little wonder why social media sites are trending like wildfire across the Internet. And, with Mark Zuckerberg as my witness, Facebook is one of the leading social media sites where you can find a gazillion pictures.

It becomes frustrating when you’re browsing Facebook and you find a really nice picture but you can’t save it. You’ll have to wait until you get home and scour your News Feed before you find the picture [...]

If you have a cluttered work desk, it becomes a challenge to find what you need right away. That’s why a lot of people spend a lot of time and effort arranging things in the way that works best for them.
