All of us here at Android Authority are probably a bit biased towards Android, since we all love and own Android devices, but this infographic really puts it into perspective. It’s amazing to see how the three major smartphone platforms – Android, iOS, and Blackberry – have evolved over the last three years.

Who remembers Android 1.0? I personally don’t, but I do remember 1.6 – my first Android ran 1.6. Compared to Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.0, Android 1.6 look like a joke. Share your thoughts about Android OS and devices below in the comments, we love hearing from you.

Android is currently on more than 50% of smartphones being sold in Asia, and is getting closer and closer to achieving greater than 50% market share globally! There’s no slowing down the Android juggernaut now, folks. Remember – let us know about when Android first became a part of your life, and what devices you’ve owned! Rooted?
