Last week’s poll summary: Out of over 5,600 votes, 40% of our readers said they upgrade their phones every two years. 20% of our readers said they upgrade when their current phone kicks the bucket, and 19% said they upgrade every year.

Nougat. Nougat. Once known only as the chewy, sugary confection found in candy bars and chocolates, Nougat is now the name of the next major version of Android.

In case you missed it, Google recently announced that the next version of Android will be called Android Nougat. While there are certainly worse names out there, it’s hard denying that Google has come up with better names in the past.

Marshmallow, Lollipop, KitKat and Jelly Bean have all been pretty popular names amongst Android fans, while Nougat seems to be receiving a bit of backlash since its unveiling. I know many folks were rooting for Nutella or Neapolitan (I was hoping for Nutmeg, myself), but unfortunately Nougat is here to stay.
