Love the Samsung Omnia, but hate Windows Mobile? My friend, we’ve got just the thing for you, thanks to some hard working lads over at the Modaco forums. It’s called Andromnia, and Android port for the Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia.
While these guys have Android starting up properly on the Omnia, there are still a large number of problems. Some of them are pretty big (no phone calls, for example). But with that said, It’s crazy that they got this project off the ground at all.
Kudos to you guys!
We can hope that once the port-job for the i900 Omnia has been complete that it might make things easier for porting to similar handsets from Samsung and other manufacturers.
