Q:

Johny 77 says: I am considering buying the new Nexus 7 but I want to know what are the key differences between the two tablets? Is it worth the upgrade? Or should I wait?

A:

One of the biggest differences is the screen. The original Nexus 7 had a 1280 x 800 resolution while the new one is 1920 x 1200, so everything will look better and sharper. Most of the specs are higher across the board as well, aside from storage. Is it worth the upgrade? Yes. Should you wait? It depends on what you’re waiting for, but if you’re waiting for another upgraded Nexus 7, you could be in for a long wait.

Q:

Akash asks: Will the Nexus 5 be available internationally when it launches?

A:

We know so little about the Nexus 5 (or Nexus 4 v2) right now that I can’t say for sure, but since the Nexus 4 worked internationally, I’d assume that it’s successor will as well. How easy it will be to buy internationally remains to be seen.

Q:

HR says: Hello Kris, I’ve heard rumours of a new Samsung Note 12.2 device and I am quite interested in purchasing one. Have you any idea of the release dates and or whether these rumours are true or just speculations? Thank you.

A:

It definitely looks like Samsung is preparing a 12 inch tablet. Details are scarce, but @evleaks said back in July that two tablets, a 12.2 inch model and a 10 inch model, were on the way. For a release date, there are rumors that it could launch in October, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Q:

mralbeezie says: I currently own the LG Optimus G Pro and I love it. But with the recent announcement of the LG G2, will LG update the Optimus G Pro with some features from the G2 like Guest Mode, Slide Aside, or Text Link?

LG's latest 5.2 inch display claims to pack more than 6 million pixels into it, making it one of the most advanced displays out there.

A:

As far as I know, there is currently no word on bringing G2 features to the Optimus G Pro. As for whether or not that will happen, it’s tricky. By keeping the features exclusive to the G2, more people might opt to upgrade, but LG would definitely make people happy by bringing those new features to preexisting hardware.

Q:

Giovanni says: Ever since I moved my apps to my sd card on my Galaxy S4, the apps logos have been missing and they only come back when I download a app from the play store. Any help please?

A:

First of all, that is pretty weird. First I would try going into settings and moving them back to internal storage and see if that fixes the problem. If that helps, try moving the app back to the SD card and see if you run into the problem again. If that doesn’t help, this is kind of a shot in the dark, but have you tried rebooting the phone? That can solve all sorts of problems. Hope this helps.

Q:

Kristiaan says: I use the Acer Liquid E2. Do you know when Google will release the 4.3 update for the E2?

Acer Liquid E2

A:

That’s not up to Google, actually, it’s up to Acer or your carrier, but so far there’s no word of an Android 4.3 update coming to the E2. That doesn’t mean we won’t see one, just that we won’t see it too soon.
