Sony has some interesting plans regarding its smartphone future, but issuing timely Android updates are not part of them. The company has shared more details about its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean roll out, but in…
Sony Mobile told us a week ago that they’re going to upgrade a bunch of Xperia phones to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean next year, in February or March, Xperia T and its variants included. Although Sony has been known to graciously upgrade its older phones to the latest version of Android, the company does like to take its sweet time.

Aside from the new launcher, the Android 4.1.2 firmware also comes with a new camera feature called the Superior Auto mode, which can be found in Sony’s lineup of digital cameras. Sony has also included a new lock screen and dialer, as well as some audio enhancement features.
Bear in mind that this Jelly Bean firmware is for the developer version of the phone. The final version might be slightly different from what you’re seeing above.
So, what do you think of the JB preview? Let us know in the comments below.
