The guys over at Android Central have obtained a screenshot from Sprint’s internal systems stating that the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S 4G are finally getting Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 tomorrow. That’s right, Sprint’s CDMA Nexus devices are getting Jelly Bean nearly two months after their GSM counter parts received the over the air update back on July 10th.

The Galaxy Nexus software version will be FH05 and the Nexus S 4G will have version JRO03R, both are the latest and greatest version of Jelly Bean.

The following internal memo is being sent around Sprint as well:

Upgrades Device Operating System to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) Fastest and smoothest version of Android released Better search experience Expandable, actionable notifications A smarter keyboard And more!

After Sprint devices get their Jelly Bean update, the last remaining developer devices are Verizon’s Motorola XOOM LTE and the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. The Galaxy Nexus recently received a Jelly Bean ROM leak, making all of us think Verizon’s Nexus update can’t be too far behind.

Congrats Sprint Nexus owners, you’re going to love Jelly Bean.

really? it makes you think Verizon’s update can’t be far behind? Have you met Verizon? or paid the least bit of attention to how they’ve handled updates for their gnex variant so far?

I have nexus s 4g and there is no update!

wwaaaaay late to the party already… Jellybean is already old news on Galaxy Nexus. Sucks to be on Sprint and Verizon…

  • n900mixalot

How is it that the TWO devices I happen to own are the Verizon GNex and the Verizon Xoom LTE? Double shaft.

    • Totally agree on the double shaft :( Booo Nexus hehehe!

  • Klotter

Any word on the Galaxy S3 getting jelly bean soon?

  • Christopher Diaz

Sprint has so far not updated the software version history to reflect the supposed new updates for the both the nexus s and galaxy nexus so I doubt this screen shot and e-mail are real. When the ics roll out finally started they updated the version history page the day the roll out started. When the version history page updates I’ll believe the update is coming until then I suspect the e-mail is fake and the screen shot is shopped.
