Ever since Motorola confirmed its Xoom to operate on the anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, many have been waiting for more information about it. Despite the lack of confirmation for the final date, a video has been released displaying an actual unit operating on the ICS OS. On the video, there was no direct verification that the device was a Xoom. However, the Xoom isn’t really hard to recognize. This is why we have reason to believe it was the actual unit.
You may consider the Xoom as Motorola’s unofficial candidate against the Nexus One and Nexus S. This is based on the fact that the Xoom offers a pure Android experience without the custom UI and skins. Even though there has been an undisrupted trend for Google devices to acquire the first spot for major OS updates, we certainly hope that the Motorola Xoom gets noticed for this purpose too.
If you already own a Xoom, you might as well congratulate yourself on the good luck! If Google truly has gotten the ICS onto the device, you can expect a number of vast changes on the way you use your gadget really soon! Otherwise, you might get left behind!

What, beyond ad views, is the point of this article?
“Xoom will probably get ICS, but might not, good luck?”
Personally, I’m really impressed! I’m a huge fan of Motorola +!!!!!!!!!!
Um, I’m not sure the Xoom will really get the update. Neither is the author of this article, it seems…
Why wouldn’t it?! And it says on the motorola xoom website “upgradable to android 4.0″…
In case there was any doubt the Xoom (all of them) will be getting ICS as per Motorola:
