Android 4.0.5 Coming to Galaxy Nexus in March

February 6, 2012

According to French Mobile Site SFR (we are sorry for the image above, it’s hard to translate an image), Android 4.0.5 will be on the Galaxy Nexus in March. Over the weekend the update for Android 4.0.4 got pushed out to a couple Verizon Galaxy Nexus’ (and we mean only a couple), we are still waiting on the official update to get pushed to all of us.

We may not have Android 4.0.5 on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, but I’m pretty sure it will be out for the GSM version sometime in March. The GSM versions get updates sooner than the CDMA version usually. We will have to wait until March to see if Android 4.0.5 hits the Galaxy Nexus on time or not. In the meantime we are going to start hunting down a change log for Android 4.0.5.

Are you satisfied with the update on Ice Cream Sandwich so far? Are they taking to long to get there, especially on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus? Hit up the comments and let us know.

I think they sure are taking their sweet time with the Nexus, especially since there are some obvious performance issues. My main issue is that my phone has a hard time picking up a data signal sometimes, especially if lte is one. Plus the obvious battery life issue. Hopefully the update rolls out soon for everyone. Other than these easy fixes, ICS and the Nexus have been a pleasure :-)

Ditto. I’m still on 4.0.2. I am extremely disappointed w/ the Nexus overall… it most certainly does NOT surpass the iPhone in any way except screen size.

Anything about a release for motorola products? Like bionic? At one time there was

The updates are SLOW for verizon…there was just too much hype on the Galaxy Nexus. They said updates will be faster than any other vendor. So far it has been a fiasco. If the iPhone 5 hits the shelf with 4G on Verizon. I will dump the Galaxy Nexus. Apple seems to be more on the ball for updates and being accountable for their product.

That’s complete shit, Google didn’t promise updates 24/7.
Apple update once a year, maybe more because of their buggy software

The updates have been slow, I am using a release of 4.0.4 and the data connectivity times out at least 2 – 4 times a day which is requiring a phone restart to correct. The Phone connectivity is not having this problem.

I think that it should be released in the US ASAP. After all the nexus is supposed be one of Big Red’s flagship cell phones and was the “first to have ICS.

I am still on version 4.0.2…no updates have been pushed to my phone and it says on I’m the latest version. (Galaxy Nexus). I’m so upset with this phone! I have several issues with muting (other party can’t hear me) and the camera editing apps…no red eye…what a waste of money. Should have gone to Iphone…
