For just a short period of time, BuddyTV’s web service has already gained the interest of the public. They have been known as the source of a wide selection of TV programs, sports, and news activities. Because of the success they have gained, the only logical thing to do was to come up with a multi-platform mobile client for the use of its smartphone and tablet users. To which, BuddyTV did not fail by coming out with BuddyTV Guide, which is now available for Android.
With the help of the app, users get to view a full detailed list of the scheduled TV programs available. In addition, they get to explore BuddyTV’s digital TV guide as well as set reminders for their favorite shows. Moreover, the app allows them to filter their channels list and use their device as a remote control for Google TV, Samsung Connected TV, or TiVo users. Best of all, they can make friends and share their findings with them.
To access the features of the app, a valid BuddyTV account needs to be set up for logging in. There is also a registration area for new users within the app. Using the TV program recommendations and TV control requires a 5-digit zip code area and a preferred digital TV content provider from the likes of Cablevision, Comcast, Verizon, Time Warner, and many others. Afterwards, the app will lead its users to the homescreen where upcoming, popular and favorite TV shows are divided into tabs. Users can then file a program under his Watch List or Tune In list so he can watch it straight from their device.
With these features, you won’t get bored without any program to watch from your BuddyTV. Click here to download BuddyTV Guide on your Android.
A TV guide would be pretty convenient, but since I don’t want to take my eyes off the screen during the show, and on a commercial I can check the guide on my TV, I don’t see the benefit. I’ve seen quite a big amount of these apps coming out, but there’s only one that works for me; the DISH Remote Access app. I use this app when I’m not at home since that’s the only time using a tablet or a smartphone works better for me then my own TV. This app allows for the streaming of all of my channels live, or even the recorded shows on my DVR. Working for DISH, I know that nobody else is able to offer this.
