According to the Wall Street Journal, AT&T will be the exclusive carrier for Amazon’s new smartphone. The phone is expected to be unveiled on Wednesday in Seattle.

The smartphone will reportedly feature a 3-D interface with four built-in cameras. Rumors (from BGR) also claim that the phone will run Android Kit Kat from a 4.7-inch screen with 720p resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Also expected to be included is finger-tracking technology where icons would hover above the screen and can be touched or moved in the space over the phone.

Amazon¬†drew¬†speculation about its next product earlier this month¬†by¬†using a mysterious YouTube video to announce a June 18 “launch event” in Seattle to be hosted by Chief Executive Jeff Bezos.

AT&T already provides wireless service to Kindle tablets and e-readers.¬†The Amazon phone will join other phones that¬†launched exclusively on AT&T’s network including the iPhone and the now-dead Facebook phone (among others).

The Wall Street Journal was not able to verify whether the AT&T/Amazon exclusive deal stretched several years or just for the first few months.
