By David Gonzales February 5, 2013 43 31 11 0 Credit: Amazon With the amount of new tablets that are already available on the market right now, not to mention all of the new ones that are sure to be announced in the coming days and weeks, there’s a lot of pressure on pretty much every major manufacturer to make their own tablet offerings a bit more appealing to the average consumer. So Amazon’s latest move to try and boost sales of its Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ tablet is no surprise.Advertisement The online retail giant has just launched a discount sale of the Android-flavored Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ tablet starting now until February 8th. The sale is applicable both to the Wi-Fi only version of the tablet and the 4G LTE-enabled version. To take advantage of the sale, customers simply have to enter the code “FIRELOVE” at checkout to slash 10% off the retail price. This gets buyers of the Wi-Fi-only version a $30 price reduction, while buyers of the 4G LTE-enabled version get to enjoy $50 off their purchase. The sale goes on until the end of the week, so if you’re in the U.S. and you’ve had your eye on this particular Android tablet from Amazon for a while, then now is the best time to spend some cash on it and have it delivered to your doorstep. 43 31 11 previous postHTC plans to offer customization options for Chinese usersnext postIs Apple in trouble?
