Earlier this month, Google Play celebrated its second birthday, and now it’s Amazon’s turn to party. The Amazon Appstore turns three years old on March 22nd, and in celebration Amazon is offering 60% off their normal app and game prices for the next 2 weeks. The apps that are on sale will rotate out daily, so Amazon encourages you to check back regularly. Right now, games that are on sale include Batman: Arkham City Lockdown and Terraria.

There’s also an in-app purchase promotion going on for select titles including Despicable Me: Minion Rush, The Hobbit and Sonic Dash. So what’s the deal here? Basically, every in-app purchase you make over the next two weeks will be rewarded by 50% back on the purchase price through Amazon coins.

For more details on Amazon’s birthday offer, you’ll want to head on over to Amazon’s website. What do you think, interested in any of Amazon’s offers? How do you feel Amazon’s birthday promotion compares to what Google offered on its second birthday?
