It looks like the increasing popularity of mobile gaming is making waves at Hollywood!

We've already seen a mobile game version of the Dark Knight Rises, a must-see summer blockbuster, and the hugely popular Temple Run went down the mainstream path, with a tie-up with Disney, Temple Run: Brave. Movie trailers are so 2010!

Another blockbuster following this trend is the “Amazing Spiderman,” a reboot of the well-known series, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Gameloft recently announced that the mobile game would be available on the Google Play Store in time for the release of the movie. Always eager to share, the game maker gave us a preview of what to expect from the Amazing Spiderman, in form of a video trailer that was just released. Let's take a look.

As the name states, the video is a prologue that introduces the Spiderman character, but if you didn't know who Spiderman was already, you have some pop culture to catch up on. The 10 seconds of gameplay showed at the end of the video do look to be very promising, with amazing graphics and even reminding me a little of the Spiderman PC games.

We'll of course have to wait till the game is available to give our final thoughts on the game and the gameplay, but Gameloft has rarely let us down with their big releases, and nothing less should be expected from the Amazing Spiderman for Android.

The title will be released for iOS and Android devices on June 28, just in time for the premiere of the movie. The movie releases June 29 in India, and July 3 in the US. Until then, time for me to get back to Temple Run.

What are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to the “Amazing Spiderman” mobile game for Android? Are you looking forward to the movie? Let us know in the comments section below.

the only weakness on this concept is the lack of “true” or “serious” game on Android. Still a far from the iOS, since most of the cross platform games are ported from iOS and not nicely done for Android.

Pessimistic aside, if in the near future more quality game released on Android (an exclusive high-grade game on Android will do), this will be a very popular service.

versing is not a word, at least not in the context you are using it.
