Sense 5

Yesterday photos leaked of the HTC Droid DNA running Sense 5. The authenticity of the photos was questionable, but today’s leak may just confirm their authenticity. XDA forum goer mdeekay posted up an additional gallery of photos of Sense 5 running on the HTC Droid DNA.

These photos were obtained from a Sense 5 ROM mdeekay is working on for the HTC Droid DNA. It is purportedly a direct port from Sprint’s variant of HTC’s upcoming flagship device, the M7. To add to the rumor mill, mdeekay also claims that the Sprint version of the M7 won’t have a removable battery or a microSD card slot.

The Sense 5 lock screen is pictured above and below. It is your standard lock screen but looks clean and crisp nonetheless. It is not a huge improvement over Sense 4+, but it still looks pretty nice.

These photos are beginning to look legit. We will have to wait and hear official confirmation from HTC at MWC this year to find out for sure though. What is your take on these leaked photos? Do you think they are they legit or fake renders?

Hopefully they also change the recently used apps menu, it’s horrible on the current version.

Not impressed, lock screens should be used for flow of information of notifications as a user option. Sadly, no one has done this.

    Looks clean. I like it.

  • Lockscreen widgets need to be updated faster on my nexus 7 i have a weather app with lockscreen widget and its nice to unlock and see time and just swipe to the right and see the weather.

None critical information on the lockscreen I think is amazing, but text emails and others information like this should not be displayed on the lockscreen.

I prefer the “realistic” look of Sense 4….the new look reminds me of Windows 8.
