Today Acer is throwing a special press event in New York City, where they are showing off a few new products including a new mid-range phone called the Liquid Zest Plus.

Ridiculous name aside, the new handset features a 5.5-inch display and a massive 5,000 mAh battery. According to Acer, the large battery allows the phone to get a full two days use, and even when things start to get a bit low, there’s fast charging to help you top things off a tad bit faster. Acer also highlighted its camera during the announcement, with the 13MP shooter boasting what the company is calling “tri-focus”, meaning that the camera uses a combination of laser, phase detection, and contrast detection focusing.

Not a lot of of the other specs are known here but judging by its price tag of “under $250” and going by the original Acer Liquid Zest, we’d imagine we’re looking at a MediaTek processor of some sort and probably somewhere in the range of 1 to 2GB RAM. Of course that’s just speculation and we’ve reached out to Acer to get more details on the full spec sheet.

The Acer Liquid Zest is far from an impressive device judging by the specs we do know, but a low price tag and a massive battery could make it a great choice for budget-minded users who want the best battery life possible.
