acer iconia tab a110
As is customary this time of year, companies across the globe are putting some awesome sales that we can take advantage of. Just yesterday, T-Mobile started their own sale. Today, Walmart Canada is starting a sale with the Acer Iconia Tab A110.

Walmart Canada is selling the Acer Iconia Tab A110 for the low, low price of $178. That is an excellent deal for the holidays and even undercuts the popular Amazon Kindle HD and the Nexus 7.

If you're unfamiliar with Acer's A110, it's actually pretty nice. It packs a quad core 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of internal storage, 1GB RAM, an external SD card slot, HDMI out, and a front facing camera. If you'd like to see it, Android Authority founder Darcy LaCouvée had a hands on before it was released.

So where can we find this deal on the Acer Iconia A110?

If you go to Walmart's Canada site and just search around, it may be difficult to find. If you do have trouble, you can find it here. Is anyone going to be picking this up?

Small battery and lousy screen resolution are a deal breaker here. Especially with an update to the Nexus 7 on the horizon.

    3250 mAh and 460g… WTF ?

Yeah. I can’t see that thing last more than 3-4 hours max with Wi-Fi on and web browsing.

I do applaud the fact that it has a GPS in it, though. A lot of low-end tablets omit that.

if its not a nexus 7 or kindle fire hd it cannot compete with the iPad mini

Ha. 3250 mAh, which is 1000 mAh less than the Nexus 7 (even my B&N Nook Color’s battery is 4000 mAh).

460 grams is over 1 pound. Pretty crazy for such a small battery and screen size.

Based on Antutu scores mediatek seems like needing to catch up to the Snapdragons 600/800 and Tegra 4s and the octas. With that said this is suppose to be a budget tablet.
