BeTouch E400Yesterday at MWC Acer announced its BeTouch E400. This device is clearly a mid-range device but for its operating system, it runs Android 2.1 (Éclair) straight from the word go. There is no need to upgrade this puppy over the air (OTA) once you buy it to receive the most recent version of Android. Acer have managed to incorporate some Acer-specific widgets and software, not least of which is free music streaming.

The device also comes with Facebook and Twitter pre-installed and integrated into the device as standard. This will certainly make the phone an attractive option for the price conscious social networker. Indeed, the BeTouch E400 will be available in three colors, including White, Black or Pearl Red. It is likely that this will attract the style conscious as well.

  • Android 2.1
  • 3.2” HVGA touch screen (resistive)
  • 3.2 Megapixel Camera (autofocus)
  • GPS
  • Nemo Media Player
