Motorola Milestone

The Motorola Droid reviewed by Michael last week is heading to Europe and also Canada (exclusively on Telus) as the Motorola Milestone. The Motorola Droid is estimated to have sold over 100,000 units during its opening weekend with Verizon, which according to Mark McKechnie with Broadpoint AmTech should hopefully see Motorola back to an operating profit sometime next year .

O2 Germany have recently announced the Milestone which will be available for €549,99 on a range of tariffs including unlimited calls to landline and other O2 Germany Network devices. Some of the differences between the Milestone and the Droid include the 8GB microSD card as opposed to the 16GB card available with the Droid on Verizon. Furthermore, the Milestone will ship with Motorola’s own mapping software, instead of Google Navigation. Google Navigation is a new addition to Android and is currently only available on Android 2.0 and the Droid in America.
