16GB White Nexus 4 already out of stock at the Google Play Store

White Nexus 4

There’s some bad news for anyone who was planning on picking up the sleek new white Nexus, as after being on sale for just a few days, the 16GB white Nexus 4 has already sold out at the Google Play Store.

Mind you, this is something that we’re quite used to seeing; the original Nexus 4 was repeatedly out of stock in various regions pretty quickly after its initial launch as well. The Nexus 4 is clearly an incredibly popular device. Either that or Google really needs to sort out its supply chain.

But it’s not all bad news – the 8GB version is still available on the Play Store, so, as long as you’re ok with the somewhat limited storage capacity, you can still grab an unbranded handset. If you’re desperate for the extra space then T-Mobile still has the 16GB in stock on its online store, but the white variant is currently only available on a contract.

Google hasn’t commented on the matter yet, so we’re in the dark as to when the white Nexus 4 will be back in stock in the Play Store. Hopefully there’s already a steady stream of handsets making their way to the store as we speak.

“Nexus 4 is out of stock” isn’t really news. “Nexus 4 is in stock” — now *that* would be news!

Not surprising… The Nexus 4 is popular no doubt, but the supply chain on this phone is atrocious. You don’t see shortages on the One or S4. I know they are different, but this is like the 20th time the N4 has been put of stock. I guess consumers will have to wait a month again if they want a 16GB white N4. Pfft. Hopefully Google gets it right with the next Nexus phone.
